Pan Am

Happy Halloween!

Here we go again, I am afraid of this year's costume .

I love my adoptive parents but they have issues.
They dress me up every year for Halloween and its usually some elaborate costume.
They never ask me what I want to be and they don't even dress up.
Hypocrites!

The only good thing is when they enter me in a dog costume contest , proceeds from the entries go to a rescue group.

I have been an Alien , a cat Under Taker, a Dead Horseman.
2011 a Pan Am Stewardess

What is next?

Should I be afraid?

People, get a life !

Barbie legs

Binky: "In the dog world, my legs are what every dog aspires to.
Long , lean and covered with blond hair.
Does it get better than that?"

She knows she is pretty and she is most definitely not aware of the fact that she is a biped and an oddity.

When people make remarks about her appearance she doesn't understand and it's just as well.
Other dogs don't seem to notice either.

Dogs are not aware of their disabilities and just go about their business.

They cope well and don't feel sorry for themselves unlike us humans .

Binky is a good life lesson and most definitely unstoppable.

It doesn't matter to Binky that she is missing 2 legs, all she needs is love.

My Favorite Costume

I am a champion!

2 years ago my parents who seem to have no lives of their own.
Decided I should be pulling a casket . That was their fun idea of a Halloween costume.
The casket had eyes that lit up, dry ice that made it look eerie and a cat tail sticking out of it.
It read "Cat under taker"

Now don't get me wrong if my parents didn't rescue me I wouldn't agree to it. But since they took me in, built my wheels, take me everywhere do I have a choice?
.
Nope!

Also all these Halloween contests are a way to raise funds for different organisations and rescues.

So what can I do?

I'll just keep embarrassing myself and oblige.

Christmas is coming

You think u should be excited about getting new wheels that light up or a new diamond collar.
But instead u am thinking of all the pet stores ordering all the puppies and selling them as Christmas gifts.

We are not Gifts! We are alive just like you humans!

By the way you can't return us , the store don't ever rake us back.

Also I can't help but think of the firmer Pets of Bel Air where they had so many law suits for selling sick puppies that they went out if business .

That's not a rare thing, according to the humane society.

Where do you think all the off springs from puppy mills end up?

So I beg you !
As a saved dog , save life!

At least you'll know what you are getting

A grateful and loyal friend .

Love

Binky

Can I have a tissue?

Puppy Mills make me sad.
Google Puppy Mills and find pug more.

Don't buy a dog, go to a breed specific rescue if you really care about breed, or your local shelter.

Either way , find your best friend by saving a life and money .

Google Chihuahua Rescue, Golden Rescue......

Saving a life is IN
Buying a life us OUT

International Dog of Mistery

Yeah! I travel!

I should also get miles but animals seem to be discriminated against . No miles for us just crates.
I personally like to go to Italy, but there are so many other destinations to pee on.

Before I leave town, I always go to my Vet, for a health check, sometimes I need new shots.
It's not that complicated, but check the consulate or embassy's site for your country of destination .
All requirements are listed.  After you receive your Health Certificate time to show up at the USDA's office and pay! once more, but that's really for coming home.

The USDA has very weird hours, so check their site again or you'll be denied that day.

The Microship I have is an AVID so I also travel with a Micro Chip reader as required per the Italian government. No that they care when you arrive in Rome. Ah , those Italian!

They use a different Chips in Europe, some countries won't let dogs and cats enter without having their European Chip put in. Some of my friends are double Chipped which sounds cool. I am not.

Also call the airline to ask them what requirements they have, I like to call reservations so no surprises at the airport . I even have an airline approved dog carrier, my wheels strap on to the side of it so I don't  leave them at security.

All in all it's simple as long as the process is started a few months or at least 30 days before your trip.

Then I get a 1/2 sleeping pill and in the cabin I sleep pretty much till we land.

Some airports have doggy areas, LAX , Montreal,....to name a few.
When they don't I use Wee Wee pad, just not as sexy.

But I'll pee anywhere just to go to Italy.

Ciao!!!!!!

Born this way

People stop me everyday,
they usually say "how sad"

I was born this way and dumped at the shelter , so really people.
I am happy! not sad.

No pain !
I just don't feel that special, I have wheels that light up and go everywhere with my parents.
I wish more people would adopt their pets.
So many of my friends have died at the shelters.
I hated it there , it was scary not knowing who was next to die.

I was born with 2 back legs no front legs, i don't remember my parents .
I was told I am mix of Chihuahua, Daschund and maybe Pug.
But whatever, it doesn't mean anything to my adoptive parents, they love me so much.
Sometimes it's exhausting, to be picked up and kissed non stop.

I got lucky , i go on weekends to Malibu, Sonoma , Big Bear.
Just came back from 3 weeks in Italy, I love the dogs there.
Beautiful dark and handsome......the leftovers are just as yummy.

I must go now it's nap time
